Our Vision at Good MOUD

Our vision is to promote equitable access to Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) for all individuals in need. We aim to empower communities through education, awareness, and support, fostering an environment where recovery is a shared journey. By embracing innovative practices and advocating for systemic change, we envision a future where stigma is dismantled, comprehensive care is readily available, and every person has the opportunity to achieve lasting recovery.

Together, we can transform lives and restore hope.

FAQs

What is the purpose of the training?

The purpose of the training is to empower people utilizing medications as peers and leaders. We'll work with medication participants, supportive allies and staff to create a unique recovery community and culture. Participants will learn to cultivate patient-lead mutual-aid self help including recovery support, leadership development, and education about medications and recovery.

How long is the training?

Our trainers spend two six-hour days, and one four-hour day with MOUD patients and supportive staff who can help facilitate the formation of a unique Good MOUD Recovery Community Project. Six of the eight modules taught in this curriculum are part of the leadership training that prospective Project Leaders can provide to other MOUD patients, family members, or the community at large as part of their own unique recovery community. The training yields 14 hours of educational material for participants.

(In some cases, we can provide CEU’s for staff who attend)

Who can attend?

Patients taking medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD) such as Methadone, Buprenorphine/Suboxone, Naltrexone/Vivitrol. If space is available, we welcome recovery coaches, interested support staff, an administrator and/or counselor from local Medication Assisted Treatment providers.
